DESCRIPTION
America Abroad Media (AAM) is seeking a Development Coordinator to assist with the development team’s day-to-day operations and act as the primary researcher for foundation, individual and corporate support.

The Development Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include:

• Researching and evaluating prospects for foundation, individual and corporate support.

• Assisting the Vice President for Development in scheduling and preparing for meetings with foundations, corporations, individuals and Capitol Hill, and accompany when feasible.

• Attending and assisting at special activities and events related to AAM programming to increase the organization¡¦s visibility.

• Managing and assisting AAM’s President with development related correspondence.

• Maintaining AAM’s internal databases and paper records of contacts, funding history, and prospect research.

QUALIFICATIONS
AAM seeks an individual with the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience; excellent written and oral communication skills; and, at least 2-3 years development or nonprofit experience.

Candidates with the following skills will be strongly preferred: a proven understanding and appreciation of international affairs; knowledge and experience in problem solving and takes the initiative in doing so; a teamwork mentality with flexibility; and, enthusiasm and drive to significantly contribute to a mission-based organization.

Intelligence Assistant

DUTIES
Incumbent performs a wide range of duties to assist a visually impaired employee who has special software to assist in her daily job responsibilities but requires reader assistance to conduct her research and produce her intelligence products.  The reader will assist the visually impaired IA by providing advanced analytical writing, reading, and  oral communications skills.  These include:
* Researches and analyzes large quantities of information to identify relevant information that should be brought to the attention of the assisted employee.
* Researches a wide-range of sources, including advanced analytical databases and identifies key information for projects related to the work of the employee being assisted.
* Independently conducts detailed, comprehensive searches by identifying and using specialized government and public source data bases.
* Analyzes, interprets, interrelates and evaluates the retrieved information and delivers relevant and valuable data to the assisted employee.
* Summarizes notable points from inaccessible documents and databases orally and in writing for the assisted employee.  * Inputs, extracts, and manages data stored in a multi-dimensional database system.
* Provides expert formatting, organizing, and editing assistance to the visually impaired employee.
* Assists the visually impaired employee to prepare effective presentations using PowerPoint or other presenation
means.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.  Knowledge of national security issues, counterintelligence, or Europe a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
All applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS 7).  Specialized experience is experience with computers to research, compile, and format information; evaluate information to determine the completeness and relevance of the information gathered; producing clear and comprehensive written material; reporting and disseminating the information; and providing training to others.
