National Nuclear Security Administration – Future Leaders Program – Applications being accepted

The National Nuclear Security Administration is excited to announce recruitment for our Future Leaders Program, Class of 2010 with a start date of June 2010. The positions are geographically located throughout the U.S. and are located at the following eight locations:

Washington, DC (HQ)

Los Alamos, NM

Oak Ridge, TN

Germantown, MD (HQ)

Amarillo, TX

Livermore, CA

Albuquerque, NM

Aiken, SC

Las Vegas, NV

Approximately 70% of the positions are technical in nature and will require a technical background. Attached, please find our recruitment schedule, as well as the list of positions which include the duty stations.

In order to qualify for a position in the Future Leaders Program, candidates must meet the following program requirements:

Graduated no earlier than Spring 2008, and no later than June 2010
A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of a 2.8
Graduated from an Accredited University
Be motivated to serve the Federal Government in the stewardship and/or management of the nuclear stockpile
U.S. Citizen

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications for Technical Positions:

Bachelors Degree in a Technical discipline that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Qualifications for Administrative Positions:

Masters Degree in a Business discipline that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

OR

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor’s degree, from an accredited college or university, plus 1 year of appropriate specialized experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

Note: Certain positions have Individual Occupational Requirements; therefore, your education will be reviewed using OPM Qualifications.
