This award commemorates the activities of the participants in the 1996
Olympic Envoy Program. It is given annually to a junior or senior
International Affairs, International Affairs/Modern Language or an
Economics/International Affairs major to reward excellence in scholarship,
leadership, and community service.
Criteria include proficiency in a foreign language and a demonstrated
commitment to furthering international cooperation and cross-cultural
understanding. The award consists of a check for $1,000. The recipient¹s
name will be added to a plaque displayed in the School of International
Affairs.
Selection will be made by a committee consisting of faculty members of the
Nunn School of International Affairs and representatives of the program
supporters. Students may be nominated by faculty or staff and
self-nominations are welcome.
The awards will be presented at this year’s Georgia Tech’s Annual Honors Day
Luncheon.
Nominating materials
1. A résumé that includes overall GPA and major program GPA, foreign
language skills, organizational affiliations and community service
activities, etc.
2. A concise one-page cover letter that comments on your career goals and
credentials or accomplishments that reflect the spirit of the Olympic
program and make you a worthy candidate for this award.
